IBM were welcomed back as experts in this field as well as being sponsors for the day, presenting on desktop virtualisation. 
Hampshire CC presented a case study on their thin client implementation and Shepway DC on their server virtualisation. Civica spoke on licensing complexities when virtualising an environment.  Socitm's President, Richard Steel, joined the group for the day and gave his thoughts during the Socitm Business session.  Finally there was an audience / panel discussion on the issues of the day.
