There is something for everyone at the first South West event of 2008 on Friday 14 March 2008 at the Sandy Park Conference Centre near Exeter.
Doug Harriss from becrypt will cover 'Securing Data in a mobile environment' - this session was recently very well received in Scottish region, is very topical and Doug will cover, in particular, how to minimise data leakage.
An update on Gov Connect is next on the agenda. Simon Fisher of Gov Connect and Neville Cannon (Plymouth CC) will cover (a) update on current position and general picture of take-up and regional experiences and (b) the Devon partnerships implementation of GCSx - experience and plans.
Socitm Insight's Better Connected 2008 report will be published early in March and Martin Greenwood will explain the process and some of the key findings from this years study. Be the first to hear!
Alex Chapman of ROL will explain how the GovMetric software can be used very effectively in measuring customer satisfaction with customer services.
As part of Alex's presentation he and Martin Greenwood will outline plans for introducing a 'Measuring Customer Satisfaction in Customer Services' benchmarking service based on the GovMetric model.
The afternoon will be devoted to a workshop style session reviewing Socitm's future. You will no doubt be aware of the recent changes within the Society's organisation and that the Society is reviewing its existing organisational structure and its future strategy. Vic Freir will explain what has been happening and outline some of the plans. Importantly it will be a chance for you to give your views on future direction of the Society.
